

Develop and enhance the management skills and knowledge of students so they are able to manage effectively in a wide variety of environments.The main aims of the programme are to enable students to: Our research has been classed as 'world leading' in 10 subjects and 'internationally excellent' in an additional three subjects, by the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF). Our student support and research-informed curriculum mean learners develop the skills and flexibility employers are looking for, and the behaviours and values that contribute towards social responsibility and citizenship. The University is acknowledged as one of the UK’s top providers of Transnational Education with over 6,500 students studying for University of Sunderland academic awards with quality assured partners in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Botswana, Germany, Kenya, Uzbekistan and Trinidad. In addition our international reach is growing and we attract students to Sunderland and to the University of Sunderland in London from over 100 countries. Almost a third of our students study for a Sunderland degree off-campus in their own country – meaning the University is regarded as a pioneer in transnational education. Sunderland is an internationally connected university, with 18 educational partners in 12 countries. The University of Sunderland places its 20,000 students at the heart of everything it does, providing life changing opportunities for a diverse and vibrant learning community. The programme will focus upon the methods, knowledge and techniques which allow this important area to be managed effectively.
